PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- On Saturday, The Federation of Black & Minority Businesses, (FBMB) gave back to the community a change of economic empowering to the urban community.

"This has been decades in the making," said co-founder of the Rev. Michael Sloan.  FBMB seeks to provide marketing assistance for minority-owned businesses and align resources, capital and job training to provide employment opportunities.


Sloan and his team of business owners have partnered up with local companies and partner's, like Brown's supermarket chain, ShopRite. Throughout the event's program, several individuals were given interviews as prospective employment.
